The 100 m X-ray Test Facility

The 100-meter X-ray Calibration Facility (100XF), which was completed and put into operation in 2016, is the sole 100-meter-scale ground-based X-ray astronomical telescope calibration facility in China.100XF is mainly composed of a 100 - meter vacuum tube, large - scale vacuum tanks, vacuum pump sets, a high - precision rotating platform system, various types of X - ray sources, and X - ray detectors. It is primarily used for the testing and calibration of X - ray focusing mirrors, telescopes, and detectors. This facility can fulfill the performance calibration and testing requirements for large, medium, and small astronomical X - ray telescopes. Additionally, it is capable of calibrating the absolute detection efficiency of X - ray detectors and the transmittance of X - ray optical blocking filters. To date, it has made remarkable contributions to the calibration of astronomical satellites such as eXTP, CATCH, GECAM, and EP.
