Ali CMB Polarization Telescope (AliCPT), a new ground-based experiment dedicated to the observation of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) B-mode polarization.

AliCPT, located at a high-altitude Himalayan site in the Ngari Prefecture, Tibet, China, aims for a first-time high-precision CMB polarization measurement in the Northern hemisphere. AliCPT features a 720mm aperture refractive telescope, with a 636 mm focal plane that hosts TES detectors with dual-band microwave sensitivity at 90 and 150 GHz. With an angular resolution of 19' and 11' at the two frequencies, AliCPT is sensitive to polarization signals at degree-scale and larger, with a primary goal on B-mode search. The focal plane has a design capacity of up to 19 detector modules. Each module contains 428 dual-band, dual-polarization, four-detector pixels, totaling 32,376 TES detectors.
