摘要/Abstract:

This talk is motivated by the recent results obtained by LHAASO on gamma-ray astronomy: the first LHAASO catalog, and the measurement of the diffuse galactic gamma-ray flux.

The first part of the talk will discuss the shape of the spectra emitted by the individual sources, and the shape of the cumulative spectrum obtained summing the contributions of all sources.

The observation of LHAASO extend the range of measurements up to PeV energy, showing that most gamma--ray spectra have significant softenings.

The second part of the talk will discuss how the study of the observed sources allows to estimate the flux of the ensemble of unresolved sources.

The estimate and subtraction of this unresolved source flux is necessary for the important measurement of the diffuse flux generated by the interactions of cosmic rays propagating in interstellar space.
