摘要/Abstract: This presentation highlights Thailand’s expanding role in cosmic ray research through measurements using both neutron monitors and Ice Cherenkov detectors. Observations from mobile and fixed stations—such as Changvan, Thimon, and the Princess Sirindhorn Neutron Monitor—enable studies of solar modulation, latitude and altitude effects, and response functions across energy ranges. Data from the IceTop Tank at the South Pole complement these measurements, offering insights into environmental corrections and detector performance. Scientific collaborations with KOPRI, the University of Hawaii, SND@LHC, and TRIDENT extend research from polar regions to deep-sea observatories. Alongside these efforts, outreach activities such as the IceCube Summer Student Program, Thai-localized VR tours, “Rosie & Gibbs” comic translation, and international workshops support the development of young researchers and public engagement in astroparticle physics.

个人简介/Biography – Waraporn Nuntiyakul

Asst. Prof. Dr. Waraporn Nuntiyakul is a faculty member in the Department of Physics and Materials Science at Chiang Mai University, Thailand. Her research centers on cosmic ray physics, focusing on neutron monitor observations, detector simulations, and solar modulation studies. She serves as the institutional lead for international collaborations such as IceCube, SND@LHC, and TRIDENT, and is the principal investigator of the HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Thai-IceCube Initiative—a national research and outreach program under the royal patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. In addition to her research, Dr. Nuntiyakul also holds key administrative roles related to strategic international engagement and research coordination. She actively leads nationwide science communication efforts, including multilingual VR experiences, comic translations, and student research training programs, with the aim of making astroparticle physics more accessible to youth and the general public across Thailand.

个人简介/Biography – Achara Seripienlert

Dr. Achara Seripienlert is a researcher at Chiang Mai University with expertise in Monte Carlo simulations, cosmic ray transport modeling, and radiation detection. She has been actively involved in international collaborative projects such as IceCube, SND@LHC and TRIDENT, contributing to detector simulations and background studies. She also works closely on detector development and data analysis for mobile neutron monitoring systems and cosmic ray educational tools.
