1st announcement for the 2nd WHEPS
(Weihai High-Energy Physics School)
Dear colleagues:
We are pleased to announce the 2nd WHEPS[1] (Weihai High-Energy Physics School) is going to start soon in July this year! WHEPS is a school organized by the CCEPP [2] and CICPI[3] with the goal of providing young physicists y to learn about recent advances in elementary-particle physics from world-leading researchers. It also aims to encourage communications among young researchers from different experiments and different institutions.
The theme of school this year is TeV physics, in which the students will have chances to learn from the experienced researcher working on the TeV scale physics, from phenomenology to experimental method, from LHC to ILC and FCC etc…
The application form should be completed by May 31, 2016.The application includes a 100-word summary of the student's current work that will be taken into consideration in the selection process. The submission of the completed application form must be accompanied by a letter of reference from the student's professor or supervisor (signed and dated). Applications without a reference letter will not be considered. The selection of the students will be made by members of the Organizing Committee. All applicants will be informed in July whether or not they have been selected.
Please note that some professors teach in English and the others teach in Chinese.
