报告人简介:
李腾博士,爱丁堡大学博士后,2017年6月博士毕业于山东大学物理学院,随后在爱丁堡大学和爱丁堡皇家天文台做博士后。李腾博士先后在BESIII、JUNO和LHAASO实验从事软件开发工作,随后在英国GridPP、LSST和IRIS等项目上从事高能物理及天文物理实验计算技术的研发。

报告简介:
The Worldwide LHC Computing Grid (WLCG) is a global collaboration of around 170 computing centres in more than 40 countries, linking up national and international grid infrastructures for various particle and astro-particle physics experiments. The traditional Storage Element (SE) on WLCG was designed to sit closely to the Computing Element (CE), coupling computing and storage resources together. However, with the trend of consolidating data storage, data caching technology which makes better use of the network is becoming popular on the Grid. The talk introduces the cutting-edge data caching technology (XCache) on WLCG, and evaluates the performance of data caching.
