  Title: Development of Diamond Sensors for Beam Halo and Compton Spectrum Diagnostics after the Interaction Point of ATF2 

  Abstract 

  The investigation of beam halo transverse distributions is an important issue for beam losses and background control in Future Linear Colliders (FLC). A novel in vacuum diamond sensor (DSv) scanner with four strips has been designed and developed for the investigation of beam halo transverse distributions and also for the diagnostics of Compton recoil electrons after the interaction point (IP) of ATF2, a low energy (1.3 GeV) prototype of the final focus system for ILC and CLIC linear collider projects. Using the DSv, a dynamic range of (~106 ) has been successfully demonstrated and confirmed for the first time by a simultaneous beam core (~109 electrons) and beam halo (~103 electrons) measurement at ATF2. 

  This report will present the characterization, performance studies and tests of the diamond sensors using the radioactive sources as well as using the electron beams both at PHIL, a low energy (< 10 MeV) photo-injector at LAL, and at ATF2. First beam halo measurement results using DSv and wire scanners at ATF2will also be presented. Such measurements will not only allow us to distinguish different sources of beam halo generation but also help us to define the requirements for the collimator design. 

  摘要: 

  束晕横向分布的研究对于未来直线对撞机(FLC)的束流损失和本底的控制起着关键性的作用。ATF2ILCCLIC的最终聚焦系统(Final focus)的低能量(1.3 GeV)的原型,为了探索ATF2对撞点IP)后的束晕及康普顿散射电子的横向分布,我们设计并研发了一个含4个微条(strips)的新型真空钻石探测器(DSv)。运用DSv,我们首次同步测量了ATF2束流线上的束流中心(~109 个电子) 和束晕(~103 个电子) ,测量的量级达到了106 

  本次报告将介绍利用放射性元素和LAL实验室的PHIL束流(10 MeV)  以及ATF2的束流对钻石探测器进行的测试与标定, 另外还将展示利用DSv及丝靶探测器 (wire scanner) 测量束晕的初步结果。这些测量结果不仅可以帮助我们区分ATF束流线上不同的束晕源,同时还将为准直器(collimator)的设计提供重要参考信息。 

  个人简历: 刘珊,法国巴黎南大学(巴黎第十一大学 Université Paris-Sud)加速器物理专业博士。2005年加入吉林大学与俄罗斯托木斯克理工大学本科“2+2”联合培养项目,2009年获得吉林大学与俄罗斯托木斯克理工大学物理学双学位,并获得俄罗斯红皮毕业证书(优秀毕业生)保送至吉林大学攻读硕士学位。2010年获得日本JASSO奖学金赴日本东北大学CYRIC实验室交换留学一年。2012年获得吉林大学粒子物理与原子核物理专业硕士学位,随后获得国家基金委公派留学奖学金赴法国巴黎南大LAL实验室攻读博士学位。2015年获得法国巴黎南大博士学位。
