报告题目:Luminosity challenge in e+e- colliders
报告摘要:Luminosity of e+e- colliders drastically increased in recent decades. The luminosity increased 100 times using multi-bunch operation using two rings. Understanding and overcoming of beam-beam effects and beam instabilities are essential in the success of the colliders and in the designing of future colliders. In next stage of e+e- colliders, 100 times luminosity (1034->1036cm-2s-1) is target. In this talk, beam-beam effects and electron cloud instabilities are discussed along the history of development of colliders and luminosity challenge.
报告人简介: Kazuhito Omi,his research area isAccelerator and Beam Physics, especially on Beam-beam effect in circular colliders, Electron cloud and ion effect in storage rings, Nonlinear dynamics in circular accelerator, Space charge effect in high intensity proton rings etc. He is world authority of beam instability and beam-beam interaction in circular accelerators. He is also Frontier of Electron cloud effect. Beam envelope formalism developed by him is the most popular method to calculate emittance with x-y-z coupling. This formalism is used to study emittance in many storage ring for light source. He has served as Associate Editor of Physical Review Special Topics- Accelerators and Beams (2012-2018). He was awarded as outstanding Referee of American Physical Society (2008).
