近年来,主要围绕纳米材料/纳米药物与生物界面作用及创新分析方法开展研究;基于纳米-生物多层级相互作用的规律,精确调控纳米材料行为,推动纳米医学的应用。具体研究方向: 1)基于同步辐射、中子、质谱,开发金属纳米药物与生物体多层级相互作用的分析方法;在纳米-生物界面结构分析、纳米化学反应表征、单细胞/单颗粒的高分辨化学成像等方面发展一系列创新方法。2)纳米药物载体/纳米材料在生物体内全周期过程的研究与精准调控。3)病原体防治、心血管疾病治疗潜力的新型纳米材料开发与应用。在Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Communications, Journal of American Chemical Society, Analytical Chemistry, ACS Nano, Nano Letters等学术期刊发表70余篇论文,被引用9000余次,H-index 46。荣获中国科学院杰出科学成就奖(2019)、中国毒理学会-联合利华毒理学替代法创新奖(2017)、中国毒理学会-英国皇家化学会优秀论文奖(2015)、国际纳米药剂学青年科学家(2012)等奖励。任中国稀土学会稀土生物医学分会委员、中国毒理学会纳米毒理学分会青年委员、中华预防医学会卫生毒理分会青年委员。目前,与北京同步辐射装置、东莞中子科学中心、上海光源、合肥同步辐射、美国先进光源、布鲁克海文国家实验室(NSLSII)、英国Diamond光源、加拿大光源(CLS)等知名研究机构的实验室建立了密切合作。
