题目/Title: Enhancing Gravitational Wave Astronomy with Artificial Intelligence

摘要/Abstract: The detection of gravitational waves has revolutionized our understanding of the universe and has opened new doors to the cosmos. However, the data generated by these detections are often noisy and difficult to analyze. Recently, integrating AI, especially deep learning, has proven highly effective in enhancing gravitational wave detection and analysis. This talk will delve into our work on applying AI to gravitational wave detection, highlighting how it helps uncover new cosmic secrets. We will discuss the challenges and opportunities this interdisciplinary field presents, including terrestrial and space-based gravitational wave projects. The discussion will encompass AI’s role in signal recognition, data denoising, and statistical inference in gravitational wave data analysis, as well as potential statistical challenges and future directions in applying AI to gravitational wave astronomy.
个人简介/Biography: 中国科学院大学E系列副研究员,LIGO-VIRGO-KAGRA科学合作组成员。2020年博士毕业于北京师范大学物理系,2022年于中科院理论物理研究所从事博士后研究,2021-2022年赴鹏城实验室担任访问学者,2022-2024年为国科大国际理论物理中心(亚太地区)特别研究助理,2022年获国家天文科学数据中心青年数据科学家称号。长期主要从事引力波数据分析、引力检验以及机器学习技术相关的理论建模和算法开发工作。
