摘要/Abstract:
Gravitational waves can exhibit additional features, such as orbital eccentricity and higher-order modes, which play important roles in their detection, data analysis, and physical interpretation. In this talk, I will review the current status of research on eccentricity and higher harmonic modes in gravitational wave signals. I will then present our recent work demonstrating how these features can enhance early detection and improve parameter estimation, as well as their applications in probing cosmology.
个人简介/Biography:
杨涛,武汉大学物理科学与技术学院教授,2017年于中科院理论物理研究所取得博士学位,先后在北京师范大学,亚太理论物理中心,首尔大学从事博士后研究。2024年3月入职武汉大学物理科学与技术学院。长期从事引力波宇宙学相关研究,以第一作者、通讯作者在PRL,PRD,JCAP等物理天文期刊发表论文近30篇,引用1800余次。
