题目/Title: The Relationship between Optical, UV and X-ray Emission in Active Galactic Nuclei

摘要/Abstract: 

Active Galactic Nuclei (AGNs) are powerful sources that emit across the entire electromagnetic spectrum. Understanding the relationship between their optical, UV and X-ray emissions is key to probing accretion physics and uncovering the complex processes that drive AGN activity. In this talk, I will briefly review the correlations between optical, UV and X-ray luminosity and variability in AGNs. I will explore how these multi-wavelength emissions are related on different time scales and how we can interpret these relationships within the context of AGN accretion flow. I will also discuss some observational results that remain difficult to explain, which may present significant challenges to classical black hole accretion theories. Additionally, I will highlight the multi-wavelength variability and correlation properties of some changing-look AGNs. Finally, I will discuss the prospects of AGN monitoring in the multi-wavelength time-domain era, emphasizing the potential for new insights into AGN accretion physics.


个人简介/Biography: 

金驰川,中国科学院国家天文台研究员,中国科学院BR计划研究员。本科毕业于清华大学物理系,博士毕业于英国杜伦大学物理系。曾在中国科学院高能物理研究所、航天科技集团钱学森实验室、德国马普地外物理研究所工作,后加入国家天文台天关卫星研制团队,担任科学应用系统副总设计师、用户分系统负责人、首席科学家助理、第一科学工作组组长等。主要研究方向包括黑洞吸积与辐射、各类高能暂现源、星际尘埃等,目前已在国际主流期刊发表论文80余篇,并曾数十次设计并领导XMM、Chandra、NuSTAR、Swift等国际空间科学卫星的观测任务。
