题目/Title：PASTA: A New Performance Portable Simulation Code for Astrophysics

摘要/Abstract：

This talk will present an overview of the current trends of computational astrophysics, the important questions in astrophysics (in particular high energy astrophysics), and the current tools under development to address the challenges.On this basis, the presentation will introduce the new code Pasta (Platform Agnostic Simulation Tools for Astrophysics) that the research team has been working on, describing its core design philosophy, established capabilities, and how to make full use of different hardware architectures efficiently. The talk will also some example scientific applications of PASTA and future open source development of the code.

个人简介/Biography：

Yan-Fei Jiang joined the Center for Computational of Astrophysics as an associate research scientist in September 2019 and is now a research scientist. He earned his Ph.D. in astrophysical sciences from Princeton University and his B.S. in physics from Tsinghua University. Jiang is the recipient of the 2013 ITC Fellowship and the Einstein Fellowship. He also won the 2012 Ray Grimm Memorial Prize in Computational Physics. Prior to joining CCA, he was a KITP Fellow at the Kavli Institute.
