We are pleased to announce the 27th Linear Accelerator Conference, LINAC14, that will take place at the International Conference Centre in Geneva, Switzerland from 31st August to 5th September 2014.
On the shores of a magnificent lake and with a dazzling view of Mont-Blanc, Europe’s highest peak, Geneva is an attractive city, international in scope and human in size.
LINAC14 will continue the well-established tradition of this bi-yearly conference series, providing experts from around the world with a unique opportunity to discuss the latest advances in linac research and development in a lively and friendly atmosphere.
Information regarding the scientific programme, important dates, registration, accommodation, student grants, student poster prizes, social activities and excursions is available on the conference website (http://www.linac14.org) which will be regularly updated.
In the tradition of previous LINAC conferences, plenary sessions are scheduled every day, and poster sessions will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. On Sunday 31st August a student poster session will be organized in the Globe of Science and Innovation at CERN with a special prize. The winner will have the opportunity to give a twenty minute oral presentation during a regular session of LINAC14. This will be followed by an evening reception for registrants and their companions. Participants are also invited to join an outing to the beautiful surrounding mountains on Wednesday afternoon, and to visit major CERN facilities after the formal end of the conference.
Abstract submission will be possible from Monday 10th February until Friday 4th April 2014 via JACoW's Scientific Programme Management System (SPMS) at https://oraweb.cern.ch/pls/linac2014/profile.html. Some key abstracts will be selected for presentation as oral posters (five minute oral presentation during the plenary sessions).
Proceedings will be published shortly after the conference on the JACoW site (http://www.jacow.org).
Funds are available for subsidizing a limited number of students in the field. Do consider nominating your graduate students, if appropriate, to attend and apply for financial support. The conditions will soon be available on the LINAC14 website.
Delegate registration will open on 1st April 2014. Please register for the conference before Monday 15th June 2014 for early bird fees and book your hotel before Thursday 31st July 2014 in order to benefit from specially negotiated room prices.
