Advances in large language models (LLMs) have produced agents with knowledge and operational capabilities comparable to human scientists, suggesting potential to assist, accelerate, and automate research. In this talk, I will first review the fundamentals of LLMs and AI agents. I will then introduce PhysMaster, an LLM-based autonomous agent designed to act as a theoretical and computational physicist, and LQCDMaster, a specialized agent for lattice QCD calculations. PhysMaster couples absract reasoning with numerical computation and leverages LANDAU, the Layered Academic Data Universe, which preserves retrieved literature, curated prior knowledge, and validated methodological traces, enhancing decision reliability and stability. It also employs an adaptive exploration strategy balancing efficiency and open-ended exploration, enabling robust performance in ultra-long-horizon tasks. LQCDMaster makes use of skills and can automate lattice QCD simulations, from the construction of lattice correlation function to the final analysis.
个人简介:
王伟,上海交通大学物理与天文学院教授。2004年本科毕业于山东大学,2009年于中国科学院高能物理研究所获得博士学位。先后在意大利核物理研究院巴里分部、德国电子加速器研究所和波恩大学从事博士后研究工作。2014年加入上海交通大学。研究方向主要为重味夸克弱衰变,近年来从事格点量子色动力学的研究。
